This cozy studio apartment is very centrally situated near the Ballaro market. The apartment is located on the second floor of a historic building (without elevator) and is 40 square metres. It has a well-equipped kitchen and a large dining table, as well as a comfortable sofa corner. You can have your coffee or an aperitif on the balcony. The two beds, (which can be used as either a double bed or two singles) are located on a mezzanine floor.
In the nearby extensive Ballaro market you will find everything you need. This is a very authentic part of the city; the vibrant thousand-year-old market has functioned in much the same way for centuries. You can also have breakfast and lunch there, amid the colorful fruits and vegetables, fresh fish stalls and characteristically strident calls of the market vendors. Religion, multiculturalism, Sicilian tradition, local produce, street gastronomy, and ordinary Palermo life. These are the elements that make up the fascinating mosaic of Ballaro.
The apartment can be reached from the airport by bus, shared cab or train. It is about a 10 minutes walk from the Central Station. From the Port, it is about a 30 minutes walk to the studio. If you arrive by car, you can park in Via Luigi Cadorna. From there, it is a 5 minute walk to the studio. You are not permitted to enter the historic centre by car without a special pass.
